Tips: Please ensure burn two different files for E180!
1. Download the software Flash Loader Demonstrator and install it.
http://www.st.com/en/development-tools/ ... stm32.html
2. Burn the firmware via Flash Load Demonstrator.
(version-1.11.11)
3. Access to the motherboard power supply.
4. Insert one corresponding jumper cap on the boot0 of the board.
Connect the USB cable.
Press the RESET button
5.Open the Flash Loader Demo, confirm the COM port, for the rest do the setting as default. Click the Next.
6.Choose the firmware"E180_APP_M_V1.11.11.bin" and check the "Erase necessary pag" radio and the address "8006000" and click Next to install it.
7.Then we start to burned the second file"E180_APP_S_V1.11.11.bin"

Re: How to burn the firmware for E180
Hi
I found this post after "bricking" my E180 using the "Update firmware" option in EasyPrint3D.
After downloading the STMicroelectronics software and Firmware using the links provided on this thread and successfully writing the latest firmware V1.13.13 (18th November 2017) to the printer it now reports having firmware version V1.11.13 on the printers "About" screen, and the EasyPrint3D software reports the 'Installed Version" as being V1.00.13. That means that I could be running any one of three different versions AFAIK.
The update also doesn't seem to have fixed any of the current issues I'm experiencing. The main one being that the "SD Card Manager" doesn't seem to work at all (and actually appeared to start a print at one point), gcode files copied directly to the SD card don't print at all, and attempts to print using a third party application produced prints that shifted each layer to random locations on the bed.
At present the only way to get a print out of the machine is to connect to the EasyPrint3D software via USB and print directly from the computer. I had moved away from this approach some time ago with other printers for a number of reasons, the main one being that a crashed/sleeping computer doesn't cause the printer to stop dead and melt the part finished model.
I would imagine I'm not the only person who is experiencing (at least some of) these issues. Do you have any release notes for your firmware that indicates new features, fixes, new bugs etc?
Do you have any idea why EasyPrint3D is the only software capable of producing a vertical print?
Thanks.

This problem seems to be caused by the reading of the SD card fault, if it is possible, you should check the SD card module is normal, such as solder joints, wiring ....etcgadget.iom wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2017 11:29 amHi

OK. I'll take a look at the connections of the SD card module. It would appear to be ok though, when I insert a card into the printer it lists the files and I can start a print. The issue (seems to be) that when I press print, the fans all spin up to 100%, after a few minutes the temperature remains at 0 and the print never actually starts.
Thanks again

The file "dog.gcode" that comes with the SD card can be printed correctly
If it can print well but other can't.I think the problem may be caused by the slicing or the SD card is broken.

Re: How to burn the firmware for E180
There wasn't a dog.gcode file on the card when the printer was delivered. There was a 424.gcode file that I part-printed and that looked like it could have been a dog.
I bought a new card and exported some gcode from the EastPrint3D software and copied the file over directly. After inserting the car into the printer and pressing print the fans span up and the printer appeared to do nothing. This time I waited for a while and after about 30 seconds the target temperature for the extruder set to 210 and the actual temperature started to climb. The printer then worked fine.
It was likely the full speed fans and lack of initial movement/temperature that made me cancel the jobs.
I will see if I can get Astroprint to control the printer successfully over the next day or two.
Thanks.

Re: How to burn the firmware for E180
Hello,
Your printer was running good since today. After instaling a print from the micro SD printing stops on regular printing after the first layers and I could not get him free. I could not see any reason on stopping. I try it again. the same thing but not at the same position. I want to load a new Firmware 1.11but I try several time. No firmware was loading. Jumper correct, reset , the Prosses was lik it is written above. the printer info shows no numbers and firmware information. Nthing happend on switching on.
Target: STM32F1_High-density_512K
Download fro file:E180_APP_M_V1.13.13.bin @ 8006000
E180_APP_S_V1.13.13.bin @ 8002000
Downloading File Sice 134.88 KB
There is no reaction
Can you help me
Greetings Christoph
