A10M Extruder step/mm calibration

Post by Ricky1966 » Wed Jan 30, 2019 10:23 pm

Hi everybody. I know, with Repetier Host, I could extrude 100 mm of filament with line gcode :
G1 E100 F200;
This comand is right for A10, with one feeder extruder, but how can extrude 100 mm of filament from both extruders on A10M?
Tks

Hi.

You can set the mixer for the duration of the test to split 100/0 and then 0/100.

you can choose which extruder to use by another command line
T0
for extruder0 selection
T1
for extruder1 selection.

i.e.
"T1
G1 E100 F200"

will run 100m of filament through second extruder

Don't want to start a separate topic because it is the same problem.
There is no separate Esteps/mm for left and right motor. If i move extruder 300mm, i 've got 297mm on the left and 300mm on the right side. How to solve this problem?

I think #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT need to be hardcoded, one can put additional E1 steps per unit after coma.

297mm vs 300mm is just 1% error, nothing that have any negative impact to print surface. Loosing steps are the last possibility with chain of things - and you will be hear and see that of course.

- lever spring force (deformations of filament)
- diameter of filament
- diemeter of "saw wheel"

I have A10M with factory preset steps unti now and my print profile is tuned to these "failed" 340 steps. If you will buy other geared extruders, there are 340 steps...

In reality with my spring force setup there are 451 steps instead of 430, just because plastic is deformed a lot...
A10M Slic3r profile: here and fresh on github (lot of tips here)
A10 Slic3r profile: here
TIP: tight all screws and wheels (except right side of Z axis) and re-align frame while assembly. And silence it.

Hi Ricky

I have an A10M, which is a pain in the neck to keep printing
I use Proterface, You can download it free.
Then you can select either E0 or E1 (they call it extruder 0 and extr 1)extruders and also the mm to feed.
Download from https://all3dp.com/2/pronterface-how-to ... set-it-up/
