Cartridge Wire heater, Thermister, & Endswitch

Post by Wingding5 » Mon Jan 21, 2019 8:00 am

Hello Everyone,

I received my first 3D printer A10M 10 days ago. and its been fun till stuff started to give away. I am in process of resetting my printer by changing these parts (I don't know how warranty will work on this situation either. lol)

1. My Y axis stopped homing. I identified the cause to the 'always on' Endswitch. Can I replace the part with any endswitch found on amazon or Microcenter? (I didn't see any on the Geeetech website)

2. My failed print, when End switch went OFF, produced a plastic blob under my Extruder. This blob is much worse to remove. Its all around the thermister wire and the heating unit. I am wondering if,
a. Change the thermisters and heater with one of these? - Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073T ... T1YX&psc=1
b. I am fairly certain that this thermister will work. But I am not sure If I should be using a 12V or 24V heater. Can somone please confirm?
c. It would be amazing to have some form of technical specifications for Electricals and Electronics for the A10M. Maybe I missed it somehow. Can someone please direct me to it?

3. Can there be a sleeve or anything that can be fashioned (silicone or just metal plate) to clamp on the front of the extruder so that if blob ever comes in the future, it won't penetrate to the exposed wiring and components?

Thank you all for your responses.
