kaktus' guide - Menu-tree M201, FW v1.0.03

Post by _kaktus_ » Mon Feb 26, 2018 6:40 pm

Every Geeetech customer issues a sack of money to buy their favorite printer. :D
I do not know why they does not receive a detailed instruction in the set.
I understand that developing such one takes a lot of time and energy. But these are not new products.
I am guessing that the documentation was definitely created. Someone keeps it in a drawer? :P

Personally, I spent a lot of time learning elementary facts and getting basic information.
I could devote this time to other activities or spend it with my family.

The result of my work is a a bit of practical information that will be useful to many users.
Especially users who start their adventure with 3D printing on Geeetech equipment.

Here are the results of my work:

4. SD Card.
Main

note: some options do not have default values.
################################################################################

In the next step a manual will be created, with the description of all options.
The developer's support would be useful to determine the range of the data.
And to explain to me how some options work.

By the way, I also discovered a few irregularities.

Info screen.

Basically, it's the main screen. Its content is visible immediately after switching on the printer's power supply.

  • After pressing the encoder button, the level 1 menu is started.
  • Rotating the trigger knob directly changes the responsible value of the printer's operating speed. This way you can increase or decrease the print speed.
Changes can be made during the printing process.

Description of screen contents
power_on.jpg
view of the display when power is turned on
power_on.jpg (245.3 KiB) Viewed 19824 times
The first line:
  • contains information about the temperature reached and set for the head (hot end) and the heated work table (heat bed).
On the left side the information for the head on the right side of the work table is displayed.
    e.g.
    17/0° - means current temperature 17°C, setpoint temperature 0°C.
A zero value for the setpoint temperature means that heating is deactivated.
A zero value for the sensor display indicates that the temperature is not measured. It may be caused by sensor damage or a failure to contact.
exception: this can happen up to a few seconds after the power supply has been switched on.

The second line:
  • contains information about the ratio of mixing of the material (Mx) and about the current position of the Z-axis mechanism (Z-axis coordinate).
On the left is the information about the set mixing factor of the material, on the right is the current Z axis coordinate.
    e.g.
Mx 98/2 - means that 98% of the material will be taken from the first extruder and 2% from the second extruder.
None of the values should be set to 0, which may cause the feeder tube to clog in the head.
The setting is designed for mixing colours.
Z0.00 means that the head nozzle is at a height of 0.00mm above the work table.
The third line:
  • contains information about the speed of the printer's operation, the progress of the printout started from the SD card, the time that has elapsed since the power supply to the printer was switched on.
On the left is the information about the currently set speed coefficient of the printer (FR - frame rate?).
The middle of the line contains information about the printing progress from the SD card.
The right part of the line shows the operating time of the printer.
    e.g.
FR100% means operation (printing) at standard speed. A value of less than 100 indicates slowdown, a value of more than 100 indicates that the printer will work faster. You can set the value from the range of 15-300,
SD---% means that the functionality of printing from the memory card is not enabled,
000.03 means that the power supply to the printer was turned on 3 minutes ago.
The fourth line:
  • Information displayed - text.
You can use Gcode to display your own text.

Code: Select all

M117 drukara M201 kaktusa
important: we have 20 characters available, including spaces, etc.

As a standard, text is displayed when the power supply is switched on: "SD Card Removed!" when the memory card is not loaded.
If you plug in the SD card - before turning on the power, the presented content is as follows: "SD Card OK!".
This indicates that the card has been correctly detected by the printer's controller.[/list]

On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.
Geeetech Prusa I3 M201 Dual extruder Mixcolor 3D printer, bought 2017-12-19, already built, in the cognitive and improvement phase
