printing setting and fixing

Post by animetown9 » Sun Apr 05, 2015 3:00 pm

Hi

After 3 months of fixing and waiting for parts, I manage to print something now. I3 Pro with Sangupolol 1.3 nozzle 0.4mm.
But something is wrong with the printing see picture below.
Print top and bottom surface is OK, but the side has lines.
(my friend printer with 0.4 nozzle print with smooth surface)

I am using the firmware and software repetier setting that geetech email to me.
Anyone with similar problem, how did you fix it.

Is this firmware setting or software setting.
Nozzle 0.4mm
Layer Height 0.2mm (also tried 0.3mm)
Flow 0.6
Speed all set to 30mm/sec
Extruder temp: 240, bed 100 degree

Thank

HI,

I tried tighten the x axis and y-axis. Same thing.
Print: banding every 5 layers same size as the z-axis M8 rod (which is 1.25mm)
Questions: is I3 Pro using Z Rod M8 > 1.25mm correct????

200x16/1.25=2560 step for 1mm.
so 2560* 0.2 mm layer = 512 even number so OK>

But the x axis and yaxis.... what is the belt use.
Geetech give:
#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {78.74, 78.74, 2560, 95} // Geetech

But geetech wiki give:
define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {85.3333, 85.3333, 2560, 158.8308}

Which is the correct belt for the x and y axis.

1.It is ok that I3 PRO uses Z rod M8.
2." #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {78.74, 78.74, 2560, 95}" is correct.

Does your test printer from company has banding every 5 layers.

I print a 20mm cube.
Actual measure is 19.2mm z, and 19.1mm for side.
banding occurs every 5 layers or so.

Do you have any other suggestion.
The only other I can think off is the wobble of the z-axis rode. bend not straight.

No banding, as you can see in the picture. It's very smooth.
