LCD Black Squares

Post by CeeGee » Mon Apr 26, 2021 4:05 am

Not really a new subject but I haven't been able to find a fix and havent seen anything exactly like what I have going on. So here goes. I have the Geeetech Acrylic I3 Pro B machine.
This was purchased in July of 2015 through Ebay as I recall.
According to My parts book I am running a GT2560 Control board with an LCD2004 Display, although the board reads 2004A, if that makes a difference.

Ever since I've owned it the display doesn't work right. Ive always just kept it attached to my laptop so I didn't really need it. Now my husband is using it and wants it to read correctly.
Anything new to try?

Thank you
Cheryl

Hello, you can exchange the cables between the LCD and SD card. It may be a bad cable. If it still doesn't work, you may need to replace the screen.

Thank you for your reply. We have tried changing the cables. So i guess ill look into a new board.

I was hoping it was a setting in the firmware but i haven't found anything other than removing the // in the one line. unfortunately they were already removed so that wasn't it. tried adding them in but that didn't change anything either.
