Geeetech Acrylic Prusa i3:motors do not move properly

Post by jgvonk » Mon Jan 26, 2015 7:38 pm

I have a problem with the motors of thet prusa i3a, the motors do not move properly, when i send a file to print the printer does something completely different.

Do i need to update the firmware of the mega2560 + ramps 1.4?? or is this done by Geeetech?

When i read the eeprom it says marlin Sanguinololu Rev 1.3a??

Please help!

Dear friend,

The firmware of printer has been burned, so we do not recommend reburning yourself. Because that does not necessarily help to solve your problems.
What mother board is on your machine? Can you decribe your trouble more detailedly, so that we can provide a better solution.

Best regards!

I bought the Prusa I3A and I have some problems. (Ramps1.4 + MEGA2560 + A4988 + LCD2004)
Firmware is loaded by default? If not, could you send the correct configured marlin please?

issue:
The engines do not respond or poorly. Manual control with repetier host is after 1 to 2 mm reporting printend stop. When I start a print engines works, but doing something completely different than print and they go outside the bed aswel and the Z axis dont move.

Dear friend,

The firmware of machine has been burned, please try the following methods to solve your problem:
1. Replace a USB wire
2. Check whether the connection of Z-axis motor is normal
3. Swap the A4988 module of X or Y axis and the A4988 module of Z-axis, then check whether Z-axis is in working order
4. Check whether the jumper caps of X,Y and Z axis motor have been plugged.
5. Please check if X,Y and Z axes can move manually on Repetier Host. Check if every axis can return to zero and has a correct moving direction

Best regards!
