Hello,
here is the VS1053 module pinout description:
5V - 5V power line
GND - ground power line
CS - SD card chip selector
MISO - SPI bus MISO signal common for the VS1053 chip and the SD card
SI - SPI bus MOSI signal common for the VS1053 chip and the SD card
SCK - SPI bus CLK signal common for the VS1053 chip and the SD card
XCS - VS1053 chip selector for command interface
XRESET - VS1053 chip asynchronous reset
XDCS - VS1053 chip selector for data interface
DREQ - VS1053 chip data request signal
So from the above you can see that this module uses common SPI bus for the VS1053 chip and the SD card. As a downside of this connection, the VS1053 chip communication will be disrupted by the card initialization when it's inserted or removed. For more details about this downside see this post.
