Brainwave USB connector failure

Post by jwcornish » Sat Aug 30, 2014 1:18 am

Hello.

I purchased a Brainwave controller in June via Amazon

Initially the controller worked very well with it's test routine

I attempted to upload the Marlin firmware and I then found the board would fail to respond.

holding down the program and reset buttons did not make the LED flash as indicated by the designer's instructions

Last night, however, the USB connector on the board failed, pulling off it's solder pads, and a small length of the PCB traces.

It does not appear the side pads of the connector were soldered down to secure it to the board

Can I see about getting a replacement board?

All of Geeetech products have undergone first rigorous testing and second sampling inspection by professional inspectors.
It is almost impossible for us to ship you a defect driver. But it may be caused during transportation. As you know international transportation is hard to control, the package may not be treated friendly or handled improperly on its way to you. And the static electricity may cause short circuit, which is deadly for the chip.
I suggest you to contact the seller for further solution.
