Re: Shift in Y axis 50% through print
Hello, the reason for the layer shift may be the printing speed is too fast or the tightness of the belt. You can reduce the printing speed to 40mm/s, and tighten the belt appropriately to see if you can restore the layer shift. If the layer shift still occurs, it is recommended to update the firmw...

Re: Shift in Y axis 50% through print
Sorry to hear you've not been able to get the S42b motors integrated. I had thought about downgrading my motherboard to the old one but Geeetech told me my later version of the A30T was not compatible. I also considered buying an A20T but I think the latest version has non replaceable drivers OR an ...

Re: Shift in Y axis 50% through print
It's not just you having this problem! Checked vref, belt tension, loose pulley's... Still happening. I order some s42b closed loop drivers to hopefully correct the issue. IMG_20210512_170029.jpg I have bad news. Reply from Geeetech:- "Hello, thank you for your letter. At present, the latest GTM32_...

Re: Layer shifting
Solved my layer shifting problem by repacing both the X- and Y axes stepper motors with S42B closed-loop stepper motors (and installed a smoother on both axes while I was at it). Never seen any shifted layer anymore. Cheers! As Mlauber says, please can you share a link for these steppers. I'm havin...

Re: Importing multi component STL
I've been given the solution when using Cura by the Ultimaker forum. After importing all the elements at the same time but as individual STL files, select All objects ( a menu option or hold Shift & select them) and then right click the group and select Merge. This moves all the objects to their cor...

Correct routing for all the moving cables on A30T
Can anyone let me have a photo of the correct or best routing for all the moving cables, especially to the print head, to ensure they never snag on anything being printed or on any part of the machine? Especially for multiple objects occupying the full capacity (HxWxD) of the A30T print bed plate. T...

Re: Shift in Y axis 50% through print
Thanks, I'm on Firmware V1.02.03 and the print speed was15mm/s Checked all the belts. I rotated the model 90° an it printed without a problem. Printed other models since and the problem has not occurred. It's a mystery! Not wishing to offend but are there after market precision stepper motors availa...

Importing multi component STL
Hi, I have an A30T Does anyone know of any slicing software, at any price, that will import a model made up up several elements to be printed in different colours? Cura will only import the multi elements in the STL file as a single solid or if imported as separate STL elements, will not "assemble" ...
