Re: GT2560 3 transistors are overheating - almost burn

I replaced mine with an IRL8743 and its running very cool.

I also soldered the 12V supply directly to the board as when the mosfet was faulty, it melted the 4 pin power connector.

Re: Pro B MK8 Extruder

I had similar issues. In fact the L shaped extruder arm was cracked. Replaced with the aluminium replacement (about $US8) and haven't looked back since. Only issue is that the aluminium kit is slightly wider than the plastic one, so the screws were slightly too short. I counterbored the holes in the...

Re: MK8 Plastic Version Extruder Not Working

I had similar issue with plastic pressure arm - placed packing under spring which worked for a while, then had all sorts of problems with poor extrusion. The L shaped pressure arm turned out to be cracked, so replaced it with the aluminium replacement and has been working perfectly since. The only i...

Had exactly the same problem and fixed it today with 2mm packing. Now works fine. Wish I'd seen this post two weeks ago!

Re: Extruder fan and spring settings

I connected a filament cooling fan to the PWN socket.
You just need to switch the fan on in Repetier.
Cura & Slic3er have settings so it won't go on until you reach a specified level (first layers adhere better to the bed without cooling fan).

Re: X axis vibrate

Yes, the LCD comes on only if USB cable is plugged in, but none of the functions work (e.g.Auto home, shift axis). I have attached link to two photos - one shows PSU switched on, but green LED on PSU not lit. The other shows multimeter reading of 154mV on the output of the PSU (connector removed fro...

Re: X axis vibrate

Unable yo upload firmware as computer does not connect to printer.

I checked the output of the PSU (with the cable to the main board unplugged) and it is less than 1V.
Light on PSU does not light, nor the LCD and the fans are not working.
I suspect PSU is faulty.
