Post by Admin » Mon Mar 19, 2018 4:44 pm

Here I will teach you how to test endstop/limit switch.
The first thing is connecting your printer to your computer with USB cable, then open repetier host. If you don't have that, you can click this link to download.
https://www.repetier.com/download-now/

Connect your printer, place all axis in the middle and then input G code "M119"

You will see this
X_MIN:open
Y_MIN:open
Z_MIN:open
It means all endstops function well

Then I will take Z axis as a example, press Z axis endstop with your hand, hold it, input G code "M119" again. you can test other axis in this way.

If your Z axis endstop can work well, you will get this.
X_MIN:open
Y_MIN:open
Z_MIN:TRIGGERED
If it still shows
X_MIN:open
Y_MIN:open
Z_MIN:open
It means there is a problem on your Z axis endstop, you need check the cable connection. you can also test it by replacing it with a good-working endstop .
