Auto fan

Post by iherbak » Wed Dec 04, 2019 4:46 pm

Hi,,
Anybody has ever tried to use the auto fan feature of marlin?
For this i guess i need to configure the hotend cooler fan pin as auto fan pin

I would like to have my hotend cooler fan (not the part cooler) to run only when printing/reached a certain temperature only.

Thanks,
István

Hi, The cooling fan needs to be always on when the printer is on,
Doing so may affect printing results.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

Well, i know it's importance, but when there is no printing happening, it is just making noise.

While the ABL is running and waiting for the bed to heat up for e.g it is not neccessary to have it running.

The Anycubic i3 mega works this way by default. It turns the hotend fan only when the hotend has reached 50 degrees and up. Below that i guess very little chance is given to have a clog or something.

I like that and want it on my A10 if possible.
