Extruder nozzle carriage moves up and down along the x axis

Post by atmassie » Fri Sep 13, 2019 1:27 am

I'm new to 3D printing and I've got a Geeetech A10 and I've noticed that the printing head is moving up and down in like a wave pattern along the x axis length. Any help would be great thanks.

Hi, Do you mean that when you move the x-axis,
is the cover of the printhead shaking?
You can tighten it with a tool.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Thanks for your reply but no it's not shaking the printer head and the carriage that it rides in lifts up and down gradually as it moves from one side of the printer to the other. I'm going to try to capture a video of it doing this. I'm not so sure that the x axis rail doesn't have dips or twists in it.
