I need help setting up my I3 Pro W.

Post by Lukas71 » Fri Jan 10, 2020 4:03 pm

Hello everybody,
I need help setting up my I3 Pro W.
EasyPrint 3D gives the printer something to print and the following happens: the printer moves up about 8 cm in the Z axis and the extruder about 20 cm to the right and begins printing :-(.
I have adjusted the height of the printing table several times and used Z, Y, X in the home position. I need help!

:D Hi, Does your printer work with Auto Home?

You can enter M119 in the manual control of Repetier Host,
Check the condition of the limit switch.

For specific operations, you can refer to: http://geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=60927

The step value of the z axis needs to be set according to the type of screw;
For specific settings, you can refer to this: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=69776

I hope this can help you.

Hello, Everybody,
I have checked some more settings and noticed that x -80 and z -39.99 is in the home setting.
The Home setting should be X=0, Y=0, Z=0 ? Or is that wrong?
If I want to set the 0 value spokes Home Offsets.
I have done this several times now but without success.
Is there a description how to save the default setting.

:D Hi, if so,
You can try to update the firmware,
Download the compiled firmware from the official website, https://www.geeetech.com/download.html?download_id=34

Upload the firmware using the firmware kit.
For specific operations, you can refer to this: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=69684

Good morning, William,
last night I changed the firmware.
Right now, I've been calibrating the printer, which I did as follows:
the printer(X,Y and Z) are in the home position, then I unlocked the motors and adjusted the height of the Extruder to the printing plate on all four corners and the middle with a paper strip.
Then I moved all elements to the Home position and confirmed with Set Home Offsets.
Unfortunately this did not help, the printer does the same as before.
During printing the display shows: X 110, y 82, z 0,3, that means the printer is printing in the air
If I move the printer to the home position, the display reads: X-80, Y 0, X 39.99.
Am I doing something wrong during calibration :?:
Greeting Arndt
