Y Axis Problem - step_by_mm

Post by lezabour » Mon Sep 10, 2018 7:36 pm

Hi All,

I have a geeetech I3 Pro C, modified as a P3Steel, with LeadScrew T8 for the Z axis. I also added a BLTouch for Bed leveling;

I have a problem with the Y-axis. The bed size is 200x200 , but i only can move 130mm and not 200mm
I have check the step_by_mm value (80), which should be it.
I had to reduce the bed size and the travel limit, so the printer don't crash as going too far.

The strange thing is that when printing, size of objects are good. Travelling also is good (when want to travel 100mm, it goes 100mm)
It's a problem, cause it limit a lot the objects i can print.
Also it brings another "strange issu" which is objects are not placed at the good position on the bed, compared to what I ask on Host Repetier/Slic3r

Any idea on what can happen? How I can fix this?

Thanks for help

Did you edit the max X position value? It seems like the issue comes from firmware.
If you change the bed size, after centering the object, the position will change.

Hi

yes i had to change the bedsize, cause when i try to change Y_MAX_POS Y_BED_SIZE,
to less than bedsize, the compilation wont work

for me the good option was that: keep bed size as 200x200, change Y_MAX_POS Y_BED_SIZE to 150 for example, but doesn't work

thanks for the help
