M201 Filament

Post by Joba » Thu Aug 22, 2019 5:37 pm

Hello

I have order a M201 kit printer, i haven´t receive it yet, but i´m trying to learn as much as i can in this forum,
and i have been reading a lot.
My question is:
Can M201 work with just one filament, or do you have to use two filaments always?
Thanks in advance.

:) Hi, The hot end of the M201 is the hot end of the two in and out,
you can print in monochrome,
but it is best to put the consumables on both extruders to avoid nozzle clogging.
I hope this can help you.

Hello.

It is important not to set the mixer to a ratio of 100% - 0%, or 0% - 100%.
This is conducive to clogging the warhead block.
For printouts, it is worth using a proven, branded filament. It'll save you a lot of trouble.

Hello

My printer arrived two days ago, so you can imagine the fun i have had building it.
After reading almost everything in this forum, it was easier to try to solve the problems that i had.
And i had a lot. The tension that the estructure makes on Z axis rods, the controller of the X axis motor that was in the third extrudor,
the three cable plug etc.. .
But i made it, and now i will move to the next step: printing.
I am a little afraid about the configuration, that´s the more dificult part for me, i´ve made a little test and it seems that
the extruders did not start warming.
Anyway thanks for all of you that share your experiences and advice in this forum, that is very important for a novice like me.

Hi, You can check 1. Your extruder line is properly connected to the motherboard;
                     2. Whether the extruder temperature is rising during the heating process;
                     3. Check to see if the thermistor on the hot end is fully connected.

In my opinion, that is why this is a forum to share experience.
If you want, you can help someone else one day. ;)

Meanwhile, write on new topics about all the problems you'll encounter. We will solve them all. :!:

I will soon show you how to get the functionality of the Pro C model on the M201. :D

Hi
As i said before, my extrudor wasn´t warming up, i review all connections, but everything was fine.
As a last try out, i change the voltage in the extruders, from default voltage to about 0,800.
After that the extruder started to worm up.
Now i am testing printing, small and simple things (filament is expensive, at least to me).
Again, you just have to read a lot.

Hi.

It is true that this hobby is not cheap, but there are also more expensive activities. ;)

You will surely be able to find a good offer, with a promotional price. I did it, so I'm sure you can do it, too. :D
What type of filament did you choose?
