TL smoother add-on

Post by BobaLives » Wed Sep 25, 2019 7:23 am

Has anyone added TL smoothers to their A30?

If so, does it help your print quality?, What TL smoothers and wires with connectors did you use?, did they plug in and print with no issues?

I've been researching TL smoothers and think they might benefit the A30, just want to know if anyone has tried them.

:D Hi, Very good idea,
But it is not recommended,
You can try to set the slice and print to solve the problem.

can you please post your settings that you use to remove the salmon skin, or slight layer shift that you use when you slice and print?

:D Hi,If you move the layer,
Still need to check the tightness of the belt and make appropriate adjustments;
Check whether the bearing and the pulley are issued, and the card can be lubricated for lubrication;
Is the printing speed too fast and can be adjusted as appropriate;
The drive board voltage ranges from 0.8 to 1.2V.

Is there a description of how to adjust driver board voltage if layer shifts keep happening?

Hi, You can refer to this for adjusting the driver board voltage:

Increase clockwise and decrease counterclockwise.

I hope this can help you.

Thanks... I assume these are the drivers mounted on the mainboard in the noisy box?

(Just received my A10M yesterday. Already like it better than my A8, but it takes time to fine tune and work out kinks. Already retensioned the belts because they were pretty loose, but I still have layer shift, even at 45mm speeds)

I see the picture, which pins am i sticking the test leads on to check the voltage from the board for steppers? is the voltage the same with just the power on, or is it different when printing?

sorry if I ask a lot, i know enough about electronics to get me in trouble, i'm a newbie, not an expert.

You measure across the groundpin (top right) and the potmeter...

Hi, FearNaBoinne,for belt adjustment you can refer to this for specific operations:

and BobaLives,regarding the measurement of the driver board voltage,
you need to pay attention to the operation of the printer when it is turned off.
Go to the measurement voltage range and measure with a multimeter
