Or at least mine!
Had the same issue pin dropping.
I did the following and it did not work:
Added power through the usb port with a usb cable and phone charger...nothing
Adjusted the screw as recommended (loosen until the light turns off and tighten slightly again) and nothing
But then, it got fixed. I noticed it only worked while I printed with the Allen key stuck in the screw.
I went ahead and added a screw (one that would magnetize) instead of the allen key, and it has not failed!
I think the issue is with the pin not having a complete magnetic profile and thus not able to magnetize and hold the position.
The screw may complete the magnetic profile and it helps hold the pin in place.
I added a picture (hopefully it will show up)
Never mind the blackened part of the holder. That was me heating up with a torch for too long too close.

I had this exact problem. So I took the pin out and ran it over a hard drive magnet and took some flush cutters and nipped off a very small piece (about .5mm or so) of the heatshrink on the pin. Now the pin sticks really good to the top but the solenoid can still pop it off.

This worked a treat for me - pin was dropping and fouling prints before. I've taken one of these apart and I reckon it should be relatively easy to add a load of turns of copper wire to increase the pull of the solenoid - I'll post here if/when I get round to it.

Hi Guys, my BLTouch pin comes down on command, will also go up on command, BUT when it starts a print, it:
1. comes down & touches print bed.
2. Retracts as it should!
3. immediately drops down again!
4. but can be helped back up to a 'sticking' position with a blade etc.
So the strange thing is that it works fine in command mode, but some how the magnet lets it go at/after start, and then does not have enough power to pull it back up - yet enough to hold it there for the duration of the print once pushed up? Does not come back down during printing luckily.
Anybody else have this issue?

I think it is the 3dtouch QC problem.
You need to feedback it to the sales and ask them send you the new one.

For those still searching. There is indeed a pretty easy and reliable solution
Just disassemble screw and pin and magnetise them both with a strong magnet.
