Incorrect temp reading on heat bed.

Post by thegman » Sun Feb 15, 2015 1:53 am

While testing my electronics I found that the heat bed was reading 892C! And I was getting a max temp error. Even changing the sensor type in the firmware the readings were still high. I bought another thermustor and plugged it directly to the RAMPS board. Reading was fine. When I was going to replace the thermistor on the board, I found that the wires were crossed under the tape! I uncrossed the wires and re-tapped. Readings are now correct.

Please add some quality control checks to the head bed that you pre-wire. It took me hours and another thermistor to fix this issue.
