LCD problem
LCD problem
got a Smart LCD Controller with 20*4 display for 3D Printer Reprap and plugged it into a ramps 1.4 board and just get 2 rows of lcd blocks. I have another ramps 1.4 board and plugged into it and got the same screen. Is there something I need to do to make it work or is it faulty? I have attached a photo to show the display. thanks for any help.

Re: LCD problem
I have tried reloading the FW several times with the lcd connected and without with no success. my printer prints fine so I assume everything is correct. Is it possible that my FW needs to be newer or updated?? I am at a loss and any help is appreciated. thank you

Hi friend
You can to press the restart key ,If not fine , you have to replace the smart adapter module.

You have the cables mixed up. Try swapping the cables over and you should find that it works.
