Pro Z - what size is my extruder nozzle?

Post by JustinSB » Wed Dec 20, 2017 11:51 pm

I have a Pro W - but I'm not 100% certain what size nozzle I have...

On the Geeetech sales page for the Pro W, it says that it has "Nozzle diameter: 0.3mm"
In the instruction doc that came with it, section "3.2.2 Print settings" shows it as 0.4mm
In the Pro & Pro B user manual, which I have to use because I use Linux & Repetier-Host instead of Windows & EasyPrint 3D, Section 3.2 gives 0.4mm
and the Slic3r config.ini settings that the instructions tell me to download uses 0.4mm too

However, the label stuck to the side of my extruder assembly says:

Geeetech.com 2017/07/17 T/0042
MK8 Extruder 2-0.3mm (Forward)

Should I assume that the paperwork is a little out-of-date, & that my extruder Nozzle diameter is actually 0.3mm - & reset all of my software to match this?

I think to lead the problem root is because Geeetech manufactures and distributes two diameter sizes of nozzles. In the actual printing process, the diameter of the nozzle has little effect, but the print settings have a great impact. At the same time, thanks for your feedback, we will fix this problem.
