Rostock 301 The extruder/ Print head not heat up

Post by caotri » Sun Aug 27, 2017 10:59 pm

Dear,
I bought Rostock 301 from Banggood.
I finish the assembly and now try to calibrate the printer.
However I test the Printed head/extruder, it cannot be heat up .
The power cable for hea tup the extruder get from E0. However I check all Green connecter on E0,1,2 board, it has no voltage at all.
So Please advise what happen. I connect it toE0 now but I do check E0, E1, E2 all has no power at green connector on board.

Could the LCD show the temp of extruder properly? The fan of E0 E1 E2 is turning? If the fan is turning, the 12V is OK. If the fan is not turning, you should check if the d13 and the D14 are light.

I think you can measure the resistance of the thermistor. Just pull the temp wire out from the extension board of extruder and use a multimeter to check if the resistance is about 100K as I show you.

Hi,

I check the power of the extension board, all the fan and the motor is working. I give command to move the filament, the motor is turning.
I measure the resistance of the thermistor as you guide, it is not connected.
I also measure the resistance of the heater wire it is about 4.1 Ohm.
However non of the extension board on my extruder has voltage at the heater connector.

Does it mean teh sensor is die and therefore the board do not supply the output for heating register?

Do i need to put the filament in ?

Please advise or I need to ask for warranty/replacement of the hosten/Print head?

If the resistance of the temp wire for extruder indicates the thermistor is open, you can contact the related seller and replace a new one.
