GT2560 firmware

Post by davestea » Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:24 am

.
hi

first time on board

have GT2560 rev A need firmware

info: 75 yr old retired PC computer tech support supervisor
for both hardware and software with windows

I have spent several days combing the web and this web site
- have tried (can't count 'em) versions of firmware for this printer
- software = setupRepetierHost_2_1_6
- several versions of Marlin
- multiple versions of Arduino
- local LCD panel gives same results as Rep Host

above combinations =
some have no affect at all on the steppers
some make it go totally crazy
some work only partially in differing combinations

the info in table below has no affect on the steppers
had difficulty determining actually which set of
pins were loaded with pins.h

At any one time have determined all steppers seem to actually work
so issue is not the steppers and I believe not the board.

now, a couple of questions (few?)
1 - does any one have the correct pin configuration for this board?
2 - does anyone have the correct version of Marlin and Arduino
that I can put the correct pin config into and/or use?
3 - is there something else that I can load - like a g code translator?
4 - do I have to buy a new board to get newer firmware - got no $$ (retired)
5 - is this a huge paperweight?

thanks for your help
ds
