Hello.
...
I should imagine all trace of anything related to this port has been erased since the release of Geetetech's WiFi module. lol
Eeeeee doooooon't.
One has nothing to do with the other.
Printer controllers are designed to be very versatile.
It happens that their functions are far ahead of the firmware.
It would take a long time to tell a story.
If I remember correctly, the Mini S controller has a small E180 printer.
Initially it was equipped with a wireless communication module.
However, due to some problems, the manufacturer decided to withdraw this equipment.
The low processing capacity in the company makes some things very time-consuming.
I understand that, but many users are upset about it. This is understandable to me.
I started implanting ESP in my printer once.
GTM32 Pro vB.
Later I didn't have time to continue this project, and in addition I broke the PCB of the controller.
Now I have a new one. When I finish the modification I'm doing now, I'll go back to wireless communication in my controller.
This is a hardware solution. It also contains a trick, so it does not require any interference in the firmware.
