2 problem's with GT2560: LCD2004; 24V

Post by Roe-3D » Tue Jul 21, 2015 5:23 am

Problem 1:
If I the GT2560 connect with 24V then I get on output no 12V but only 24V (FAN1, FAN2, FAN3, PWM, heat bed). Another connections haven't tested.

Problem 2:
LCD2004 isn't working. On Ramps 1.4 this LCD work fine.

Firmware marlin 1.0.3 with correct options
  • #define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_ULTIMAKER
    #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER
was uploaded.

hi,could you tell me the gt2560 type?is it the old one or upgraded one(gt2560 rev A).if the board is old one,the fans voltage shoud be matched with psu voltage.and the regarding to the veision of rev A,
the fans voltage should be 12v since it is power up by another chip.

Hi, where find I the Revision of this board?

My board has only 1 connector for Z-Axis. The actual picture on your Webpage has 2 connectors for Z-Axis and connectors for endstops rotated at 90°. But my board has jumper for microstepping and no dip-switches.
I think it is the old Version. I ordered this gt2560 on 02.06.2015 and got it last week. :(

Test Full Graphic Smart LCD Controller: isn't working also. On Ramps 1.4 it's work fine.

hi,maybe the firmware for goes wrong.please modify configuration.h in the firmware.
1. Please define the motherboard as ULTIMAKER
#define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_ULTIMAKER
2. Add “//”to #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER,
It will stop the DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER
3. Move “//”from "//define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER"
And it will release the graphic controller.

I would have to write that I have flashed the firmware with correct values.

The opening of the connector (LCD / SD Card) must be below. See the red marks. Is how it works with the standard LCD cables (RAMPS).

This is how the connectors should be placed. Have a look on the red side of the cables.

Hey THANKS SO MUCH, Had the connectors backwards because the opening on the replacement GT2560 board i ordered had them placed backwards just like shown, That and a bunch of troubleshooting the baud rate of the marlin firmware needing to be adjusted down to work in repiter-host before uploading and i am back in business!!!
