Print Bed Questions...

Post by travelling kiwi » Tue Jan 12, 2021 3:33 am

Apologies for the newbie questions..

My A20M arrived today. The printbed itself is an aluminium sheet. With screw holes in it (i.e. Recessed screws)... And covered by a green adhesive plastic sheet (To be removed?)
There's also a black/grey sheet of something that was taped up under the packing with GEEETECH printed on it and Caution (i.e. Hot). The top is reasonably matt. The underside is shiny with 3M printed over it
  • Do I remove the green plastic from the printbed plate? All the photos I see of the A20M show a black/dark grey printed. Not a shiny aluminium one.
  • Does this extra black sheet just sit on the hotbed in operation? Seems a bit flimsy and prone to coming off... It doesn't sit flat for a start

Hi travelling kiwi,

Yes remove the plastic from the Aluminum buld plate and on the back of the black sheet is a film that you remove and stick it on the aluminium plate.

Regards

David
