A20 Steppers will not move

Post by mxman15 » Mon May 04, 2020 7:22 am

I have a month and a half old A20. I was running a print last night and it just quit. Now when I try to home the axis only the X axis moves. I also has a small amount of smoke and strong smell. How do I proceed in getting it repaired? I really love my geeetech products and this is the first one Ive had a failure on. Thank you for your help!!

Hi,the motherboard or driver should be burnt out.
1. Under normal circumstances, the mainboard is powered on with three lights, if not, the mainboard is broken.
2. You can change the Y-axis or Z-axis drive to the X-axis, if the X-axis does not move, the drive is broken.
I suggest you check it first.

Hi,are all three lights off after power on?
You can check whether the power supply is on, and rule out whether the power supply is faulty.
Check again if the wire is damaged,
If it ’s not a power supply or wire failure, the motherboard should be burnt.

Checked voltage from power supply, voltage good. Main board I do not see and burns but it smells burned. How do I get a warranty one?

Hi, my friend,dont worry.
let's find the problem first. You can see if the motherboard lights three lights after turning on the power.

Hi,connect the power supply normally and three lights on the main board.
The motherboard should be burnt.
You can contact the salesman to replace it.
