Steppers skipping with loud noise

Today all of the sudden, the y-axis stepper motor started skipping with a loud click noise. If I keep printing the other motors also do it. It has never happened before and it was printing fine on several models. It happened all of the sudden in the middle of a print, now I cannot print any more. I ...

Re: i3 Pro C, Both fans stopped working

I have not fixed it. But I did test the power-supply and it is providing 12V properly. This is not surprising since only the fans went out, while the motors and heating elements work perfectly. Is there a schematic of the GT2560 board? My guess is that a power transistor failed or something like tha...

Re: i3 Pro C, Both fans stopped working

The voltage on common "FAN" connector should be 12V,and only the fan connected to "PWM_fan" socket could be controlled. Yes, I know. But neither fan is giving out more than 9V on open circuit and 3V when hooked up to a load. So there is something wrong. I am trying to figure out if it is the board ...

i3 Pro C, Both fans stopped working

Hello, I have minimally used this printer due to problems with the x-axis jumping around. I have been able to print some small pieces. But now, both of my fans have stopped working. This means the board fan and the extruder fan. It seems it happened in the middle of a print. I have tried manually se...

Re: X-axis jumping -- 1 year later and STILL not working!!

No, my problem has not been resolved. I have tried all they have told me, I have replaced the motor drivers. But as I explain, this is clearly a board issue. This is the worst product I have ever purchased, it was problem after problem and so much of my time wasted away. I have not been able to prod...

Re: X-Axis motor jumping around

"Replacing the X axis motor cable with the Y axis cables moves the problem to the X motor - meaning it is not the motor or cables." You mean you just replace the cable ? if so it's the problem of the cable I think. If you replace both the cable and motor with the Y axis(that means plug the X axis c...

Re: X-axis jumping -- 1 year later and STILL not working!!

The pads look fine, all nice and crisp, firmly soldered and not bridging between them.

The Voltage between all of my motor drivers is around 0.8V

Re: X-axis jumping -- 1 year later and STILL not working!!

Yes I have checked the motor and cables. The motor and cables work perfectly in another axis. Also, if I hook the y-axis to the x-axis driver then it jumps around as well. So both the motor and cables are fine. Here is what I know so far, nothing has worked: -I have changed the motor and cable to an...
